Family Assistant Package The term “Family Assistant Package” generally refers to financial assistance provided to the families of deceased government employees in Pakistan. This package typically includes a lump sum grant, family pension, and other benefits like continuation of the deceased employee’s salary until their retirement date. Here’s a more detailed breakdown: 1) Lump Sum Grant: A one-time payment is provided to the family, with the amount varying based on the deceased employee’s pay scale (BPS). For example, in one package, employees in BPS 1-16 might receive 2.5 million, while those in BPS 20 and above could receive 10 million. 2) Family Pension: A percentage of the deceased employee’s last drawn salary is paid to the family as a monthly pension. This is often 75% of the gross pension. 3) Continuation of Salary: The deceased employee’s salary, along with any increments and allowances, is paid to the family until the date the employee would have reached retirement. Other Benefits: This may include gratuity, group insurance benefits, and special lump sum grants from the Benevolent Fund. Eligibility: • The package is typically applicable to the families of government employees who die while in service. • The definition of “family” may include a spouse, children, and dependent parents. • Divorced daughters may also be eligible for a share of the deceased father’s pension until they remarry, as per some court rulings. Supreme Court Ruling: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has declared that appointments of next-of-kin of deceased civil servants without open advertisement are unconstitutional, emphasizing the need for open competition and advertisement for such appointments. Different Packages: There may be variations in the specific benefits and amounts offered under different packages, depending on the government entity and the date of implementation. • Document Requirements: Families may need to provide various documents to process the package, such as death certificates, marriage certificates, birth certificates of children, etc. • Disbursement Process: The relevant department or organization is usually tasked with assisting the family in finalizing the package within a specific timeframe. Government of Punjab issued clarification of Life Certificate / No Marriage Certificate for Financial Assistance to the Family of decessed Govt. Employee. As per clarification the Life certificate / No marriage Certificate is required bi-annunally as per previous routine.
The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) sets remuneration rates for supervisory staff during examinations. These rates are periodically revised by the Board of Governors (BOG), and are specific to different roles like Centre Inspectors, Box Custodians, and Question Paper Dispatchers, with adjustments for distance and conveyance. For example, Centre Inspectors beyond a certain distance from the examination center (16km) receive higher pay, and those traveling over 125km may receive additional TA/DA.
